Heavy Rain and Strong Wind and Waves over Thailand
No. 12 Time Issued July 13, 2018 The monsoon trough lies across Myanmar, the upper North of Thailand, Laos, and Vietnam to the low pressure cell over Tonkin Bay, and the strong southwest monsoon prevails over the Andaman Sea and the Gulf of Thailand. During 13-19 July, 2-3 meters of waves is forecast for the Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf. All ships should proceed with caution, and small boats in the Andaman Sea keep ashore. Outbreaks of abundant rain are forecast the country. Isolated heavy rain is forecast for the North, the Northeast, the Central, the East and the South. Residents over the areas should beware of the severe weather while the coast watches for inshore surges.
