קדחת הדנגי זו מחלה הנגרמת עי נגיף ומועברת דרץ עקיצת יתוש הפעיל בשעות היום. המחלה התפשטה מאד בעולם בשנים אחרונות. סיכון הדבקה למטייל נחשב 1/1000 בערך לחודש טיול.קיימים אנשים הנעקצים יןתר מאחרים. קיימים 4 זני הנגיף והדבקה חוזרת בנגיף מזן שונה מהקודם עלו
