Swiss Valley is the nearest ski area to Chicago, at a distance of 103 miles, and Timber Ridge is 134 miles from the city. Michigan’s ski resorts have downhill trails for skiers and boarders of all abilities, and most have terrain parks for practicing your skills. Ski lessons are available, there are equipment hire shops and food outlets, and if you plan to stay for more than a day, many lodges and hotels around the region offer ski holiday packages.
