Lariam side effect

hi, I have a question about lariam:
I landed in Addis Ababa on thursday, after taking lariam for the first time on tuesday.
This morning I had an ant like sensation in my right hand fingers. It was stronger in the morning but
it hasn't disappeared yet.
It says in the lariam instructions that it's one of the side effects that require medical attention,
but a friend tells me it could be due to the hight,
so can anybody give me some advice? should I wait? should I find a way to consult a doctor? stop taking
lariam (next tuesday...)?

I dont think you should stop taking lariam
because of itching
malaria risk exist in all places below 2500 m altitude
no risk in Adis',Goba and Melka
if it continue you should consult a doctor
